IP Restrictions

Configuring access to restrict certain IP addresses is limited to employees who have the status of iSI Administrator. The IP Restrictions and iSI Provisioning Utility will only display if the logged in user is an iSI Administrator.

 

This feature provides various levels of IP address enforcement based on employee type (Admin, Manager) and the method of time entry (Time Stamp, Hourly View, etc.). Note the following rules:

To View Restricted IP Addresses

  1. From the AIM Welcome page, click on the IP restrictions link located under Administrator Tasks. The IP Restrictions workspace displays.

  2. Select one or more Time Entry types from the choice box to see the related IP Addresses.

  3. Upon selection of the Time Entry type, the workspace updates and displays the IP addresses corresponding to the selected Time Entry types.

To Restrict (Add) an IP Address(es)

  1. From the AIM Welcome Page, click on the IP restrictions link located under Administrator Tasks. the IP Restrictions workspace displays.

  2. Select one or more Time Entry types from the choice box to see the related IP Addresses.

  3. Upon selection of the Time Entry type, the workspace updates and displays the IP addresses corresponding to the selected Time Entry types.

  4. Click on Add. A pop-up window will display the selected Time Entry types.

  5. Enter the IP address.  One IP address can be sued for different entry types

  6. Add a single IP address

  7. Add multiple IP addresses for a series by entering an "*"

  8. Add a range of IP addresses by entering a "-"

  1. Click Submit to add the IP address.

To Edit an IP Address(es)

  1. From the AIM Welcome Page, click on the IP restrictions link located under Administrator Tasks. the IP Restrictions workspace displays.

  2. Select one or more Time Entry types from the choice box to see the related IP Addresses.

  3. Upon selection of the Time Entry type, the workspace updates and displays the IP addresses corresponding to the selected Time Entry types.

  4. Select an IP Address by clicking in the checkbox next to the desired address.

  5. Click on Edit. A pop-up window will display with the IP address/Time Entry combination. Only one combination can be edited at a time.

  6. Click Submit to save the update.
